LoVeOcean is a national infrastructure project located outside Lofoten–Vesterålen. 

Lofoten–Vesterålen Marine Observatory (LoVe) will send continuous real-time data from a fixed area, which can eventually be used to create long time series. 

This continuous monitoring can be incorporated into models that predict how ocean currents and ocean temperatures are changing.
