Espen Bagøien
Arbeidsområde
Mitt arbeidsfelt er dyreplanktonøkologi med fokus på populasjonsdynamikk, og inkluderer påvirkning fra fysiske og kjemiske forhold, planteplankton og predatorer som makrodyreplankton og fisk på det mellomstore dyreplanktonet.
Arbeider hovedsaklig med feltbaserte studier som inkluderer toktvirksomhet, men har tidligere drevet med eksperimentelle studier.
Ansvarlig for instituttets planktonovervåkning i Barentshavet siden 2016, og har tidligere arbeidet med forhold i Norskehavet samt i tropiske områder (Afrika, Myanmar, Indiske Hav) under EAF Nansen programmet.
